"Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead" - Philippians 3:13 NKJV
Life can be a struggle at times. There are many things we face in the present and many things that can unsettle us about the future; however, it seems we add to our struggles by carrying around too much of our past sins and the weight of failures and disappointments. As Christians it is necessary for us to understand how to move forward beyond our past. This is most important in our spiritual lives, but it does cascade into all "other" aspects of our lives.
I want to invite you to watch and listen to this sermon and in doing so consider what scripture has to say in Philippians 3:12-16 as well as Hebrews 12:1-2. Have you been carrying your past on your shoulders rather than laying it at the cross?
